Looking back

On the past 10 years and 300 or so weddings I've photographed I have plenty to reflect on, plenty to study and think about but what I wonder about most is how I came to be on this path. A series of fortunate places, times and people got me to where I am , so for this I'm forever grateful. It started when I was about 7 years old - my parents gifted me a retro style camera (typical of the early 90’s) - a bright luminous red in coloured thing, designed to be dropped 100 times, easy to load film, point and shoot method - I totally loved it. So I don’t think I would be where I am today without that first step. And since that moment I’ve spent the time studying everything I can about photography but I know there is no more important aspect to learn about photography than people. The people are what makes my photography what it is, it’s their laugh, their smile, their love for each other and for their families that draws my attention and keeps me coming back week after week after week. I love it. Laughter and smiles are what keeps me going, what I love to capture for my couples and... usually they are the memories people want to look at time and time again. The shots that will take you back to that moment in time where you can feel the heat of the sun on your skin and taste the champagne you shared together. Those are the moment I treasure.

I'd love to grab a coffee with you and your fiancee sometime so get in touch and we'll chat all about your beautiful day.

It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter
